White Chocolate Peppermint Bark - Bones Coffee Company

The taste is all in the name!

The Christmas season always reminds me of being in the kitchen with my mother, and now with my husband. One thing I made as a kid and still love to make every year as an adult is peppermint bark. December is the only time of year I eat it, and something about the time of year, the smell of peppermint mixed with creamy chocolate, makes me feel happy and comforted.

I wanted to try an adventurous flavored coffee in the spirit of the holiday season – so White Chocolate Peppermint Bark from Bones Coffee Company seemed perfect.

This blend is a medium roast and roasted to order. That is freshness that you can taste and recognize immediately. Because it was roasted to order, the bloom on the coffee was full of action. When I see a full bloom, the flavor of the roast and overall quality of the coffee is much higher.

The smell from the bag was very strong, just like peppermint bark or an Andes mint, but after it was brewed it was more subdued and pleasant. I was able to catch small waves of the chocolate as I sipped.

We found the chocolate to taste more like a milk chocolate than a white chocolate, but regardless the creaminess from the chocolate was evident and balanced out the peppermint. This roast was exactly what I was hoping for when I ordered it.

If you are looking for a bag that is reminiscent of the peppermint lattes you order, or one that encompasses the flavors of Christmas, look no further. This bag is rich in flavor and quality, and it won’t disappoint.

This was my first experience with Bones Coffee Company, but I hope it won’t be the last. They have several holiday blends available (Jingle Bones, Oh Fuuudge, Gingerbread, and Eggnog) and have other flavors and staple brews for the rest of the year that I would like to try.

Cheers,

Mrs. Brew
