Community Coffee Holiday Blend

bag of coffee next to a french press

One thing I love about the holiday season is the wide variety of coffee flavors that emerge! I see so many flavors during the month of December that are only available this time of year.

With that in mind, I wanted to get my hands on a bag of Community Coffee’s Holiday Blend before time ran out.

This blend is described as a medium roasted “sweet blend of African and South American coffees” that deliver “a festive and smooth cup of coffee perfect for wintery mornings and holiday get-togethers.”

After enjoying this brew a few times in our French press, I would have to agree with that description. There were no tasting notes from Community Coffee to allude to how this was roasted, but Mr. Brew and I were able to pick up on a few things that stood out to us.

Although it is a medium roast, it smells like a dark roast and carries a slightly smoky aroma and flavor. I caught a hint of cinnamon and subtle notes of chocolate and roasted nuts. The flavors are all very gentle and blend together well! During one of our brews, I let it steep just a hint longer and it carried more of the roasted nuttiness that you expect from a dark roast.

Holiday Blend is definitely a good seasonal sipper with its well rounded, wholesome flavors. This cup of coffee warms the heart (and the hands) on any morning. Grab a bag before it is too late and let us know what you think.

Cheers,

Mrs. Brew
