Pumpkin Spice - HEB Cafe Olé

coffee pouring into a mug, pinecone, coffee bag, acorn

With Autumn upon us, the Pumpkin Spice craze is in full swing. I often find the pumpkin craze to be overwhelming in publicity and yet unsatisfying in flavor. Throughout the month of October, I am going to be bringing you coffee and recipes that are full of flavor that live up to the hype.

To start off the month, I went back to my local HEB and found the Pumpkin Spice blend from their Cafe Olé line. This brew is a medium roast and comes pre-ground in a medium grind size (perfect for my French press or for a drip coffee).

This blend has a strong pumpkin aroma. But after that first sip the flavors are immediately overtaken by a strong nutmeg and spiced vanilla taste, followed by hints of cinnamon. We found the pumpkin to linger pleasantly on the palate and offer a smooth mouthfeel rather than be a overpowering flavor.

I would definitely recommend the Cafe Olé Pumpkin Spice blend for anyone who isn’t sold on the pumpkin hype but wants to give it a try. The gentle pumpkin and flavorful spice is the perfect combination for cool fall mornings, changing leaves, and the spooky season.

Cheers,

Mrs. Brew
