Theory Coffee Co - Coffee Truck Review

On the corner of Nacogdoches and 410 in San Antonio, TX, is a bustling intersection where Theory Coffee Company has permanently parked their coffee truck since 2022. We have seen Theory mixing up some delicious espresso concoctions on social media and we finally made our way to their truck to try it out.

Right as we pulled in, we noticed the many smiling faces and constantly moving line of people and cars that stopped by Theory for their morning espresso. I was floored by how busy it was, which is the perfect testament to Theory and their reputation within the community.

We ordered the Honey Cinnamon latte (hot with an extra shot) and the Iced Mocha (with an extra shot). Although there were a lot of people, our coffee came out quick and with a smile from the baristas.

The Honey Cinnamon latte has a strong cinnamon aroma, but is more subdued in flavor. The honey and cinnamon blend nicely and are not overly sweet. I think this drink might be better iced if you want to accentuate the honey and cinnamon flavors, but it was creamy and soothing as a hot latte.

The Iced Mocha is refreshing (especially since it was hot even sitting in the shade) and has a bittersweet chocolate flavor that is more reminiscent of dark chocolate than milk chocolate. It is well balanced with the espresso and leaves a pleasantly dry mouthfeel.

The location of Theory Coffee is beautiful and offers you not only good coffee, but access to the Naco Mexican Food Truck which is parked next door. Enjoy your latte with a breakfast taco! Or a churro from the churro truck also parked close by.

We will definitely be heading back to Theory Coffee to try more of their lattes. If you need a day out or find yourself traveling along 410 near Nacogdoches, stop by Theory Coffee. You can even order online and they’ll have it waiting for you when you arrive.

Cheers,

Mrs. Brew
