HEB Cold Brew Coffee - Black

glass bottle of coffee, mug, plant

This little black bottle is full of bold flavor. After being steeped for a minimum of 10 hours in cold water, HEB’s Cold Brew Coffee packs a punch with 220mg of caffeine and a strong, dark flavor. This is a smoky black coffee with a low acidity. Even without the acidity, it has a light, bright finish right at the end of the sip that lingers on the palate and prepares you for the next sip. This is not a coffee for the faint of heart, but is perfect when you want something refreshing on hot, humid mornings here in South Texas.

Because this is such a dark, bold coffee, we tried it with a little milk and horchata to lighten it up. The cinnamon and sugar of the horchata paired well with the dark flavors. The milk offered a more subtle sweetness that still lightened the bold coffee and was definitely pleasing.

If you are in need of a serious pick-me-up and like bold coffee flavors, this should be your go to. It has no sugar but a lot of caffeine and will give you the boost you need. Grab a bottle as it starts to heat up this summer and feel the rush of caffeine with the punchy Cold Brew Coffee. It costs about $3 (for the 10 oz bottle) at our local HEB and is worth every penny.

Cheers,

Mrs. Brew
