Asian Cowboy - Alamo Coffee
Alamo Coffee opened up their first location in Lampasas, Texas, and we had the opportunity to stop in and give them a try. The storefront was lined with windows which offered a beautifully lit seating area and gave the place a calming feel. The barista that served me was very sweet and asked questions about my preferences in order to suggest something unique on their menu.
The treats in the display case were made fresh that morning and looked delicious. There was evident pride in the workers for the coffee they made and the products they sold.
Possibly my favorite part of the store was the giant wall mural of the Alamo, a soldier, and a cup of coffee. It really brought the place together and further instilled that sense of passion in the work Alamo Coffee is doing for their customers.
Coffee:
The drink I tried was the “Asian Cowboy” and it was strong! This drink was made of sweetened condensed milk, cold brew, and a shot of espresso to round it off.
It was very visually appealing and tasted very creamy once I got it mixed up. It was a bit abrasive when I sipped only sweetened condensed milk! The Asian Cowboy was definitely on the sweeter side of the drinks but the strong coffee flavors from the cold brew and the espresso helped to combat that.
This had a very strong caffeine kick. I was feeling a bit tired and sluggish before I stopped in and was definitely energized for the drive home.
Make sure you head up to Lampasas, TX, and check out their lovely coffee shop. We will definitely be going back to support this company and try some more drinks from their menu. If you can’t make it to Lampasas, check out their website and try some of their bagged coffee!
Cheers,
