Why Beer, Coffee, and America?

When Mr. Brew and I started talking about this blog, it was an instant agreement on what we wanted to share with the world. Our love of Beer, Coffee, and America.

These passions of ours have only grown as we have grown together. Having the opportunity to share them with you makes them more exciting.

I, Mrs. Brew, haven’t always been a fanatic of coffee. As a teenager, I swore I would never drink coffee and thought the smell was enough to clear a room. Eventually something switched and now I love trying new coffees, espressos, and creative blends.

I spent some time working in a coffee shop which furthered my love and understanding of the entire coffee process. That spurred me to do more exploring, more tasting, and to gain a deeper understanding of the world of coffee. There is so much going on in a single cup, and so much work put into the bag of beans in the cupboard, that I feel honored to share as much of that with you as possible.

Mr. Brew has always been a beer enthusiast. After he showed a curiosity about it years ago, I surprised him with a beer-making kit and we made our first batch of beer. Since then, our homebrewing has grown and we have experimented with styles, hops, and techniques. Brewing is an amazing process for a brewer to be able put their personal touch on a batch of beer from start to finish, and we hope you can enjoy it with us, from mashing to bottling to drinking.

As a husband and wife, we love going out to bars and breweries and sampling what’s on tap. We love getting coffees in the morning and seeing what creative people do to make their shops their own. The worlds of coffee and beer have allowed us to meet some incredible people, support small businesses, and explore America.

Without America as our playground, these dreams and explorations couldn’t be possible.

Until next time,

Mr. and Mrs. Brew
