Jupiter House - Denton, TX

Located in the heart of the Denton, TX, city square is Jupiter House Coffee. We decided to stop by after a stroll through town and a quiet morning hike around the Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center to check out what they had to offer. From the outside, we could tell that the place was popular. Tables were lined out front with bicycles hooked to railings and smiling faces sat in every corner.

The interior was remarkable. Its high ceiling and loft area allowed for an open feel. There was room for group seating, it was well lit, and not too noisy for the morning rush.

They had a display case full of delicious pastries, many of which were vegan, as well as an extensive menu that offered lots of coffee and morning breakfast foods.

Coffee:

After hearing a customer in front of us, and getting the recommendation from the barista, we ordered “Jupiter’s Nectar” and a cup of their house coffee (which was great).

Jupiter’s Nectar comes with chocolate, caramel, and hazelnut syrup. I have personally never had hazelnut before and I loved it! We ordered the lattes with a triple shot of espresso since we love the strong coffee flavor (it usually comes with two).

I loved this drink. It was light and frothy, with a wonderful balance of sweet and nutty. The nutty flavor stood out to me as the strongest of the sweeteners, followed by the dryness of the chocolate and the sweet finish of caramel. Mr. Brew tasted more of the caramel at the front of the profile and followed it with the hazelnut and chocolate.

If we make our way through Denton, TX again, we will be stopping to try another item from their menu.

Cheers,

Mrs. Brew
