Texas Lager - Community Beer Co.
Texas Lager is great for enjoying the Texas heat. Community Beer made it just for that, and I’m sure they have enough field experience to test its validity.
There really isn’t much better than enjoying a refreshing and crisp lager after a long day working or around the barbeque pit playing cornhole. Most beer drinkers relish in such moments, whether they love craft beer or not. It’s one of the things that unite many people across our country that seems more ununitable than ever.
This beer was created for its designer’s namesake: Community. It is light (lighter even than most lagers, so be careful of that if you like something denser), refreshing, crisp, clean, and sessionable as anything. Oh, and it’s only 98 calories (If you care about such things). So, not only is it thirst-quenching and made for those who work and relax hard, it’s also pretty damn guilt free (no shaming here).
It pours a light straw color, clear and bubbly, and it smells like a classic malt-driven lager. It has some bright qualities I would associate more with a gentle sour beer and it has a bit of a dry finish. Those at Community Beer Company say it pairs well with backyard BBQs, tossing the pigskin, strumming the acoustic, and Willie Nelson’s “Whiskey River.” Sounds like a good time to me.
Check out Community Beer Company out of Dallas, TX. They have some great beers, including one of my favorites (Mosaic IPA), and some very interesting seasonal beers like a Funnel Cake Ale, a Snickerdoodle Ale, and a Mexican Chocolate stout spiced with cinnamon and peppers. But, if you're feeling less adventurous go for the Texas Lager.
Cheers!
